How to Register for a FREE My5 Account

My5 is a 100% FREE service with no subscription fee - you will never be charged to use My5.

You will be asked to register (for FREE) and sign-in to My5 in order to watch your favourite shows. You can read this article to find out why you need to register: Why do I need to sign-in to watch My5?

Registration Process

Registration is simple, please follow the below steps.

You can register for a My5 account on the mobile app, on the website (My5.tv/activate) or on our activation site (My5.tv/activate), simply click on sign-in and then select the Register tab.
You will be asked to enter your name, postcode, date of birth and email address, create a password and confirm that you have read and accept the terms & conditions.
When entering your postcode please make sure you use all capital letters and include a space in the middle (eg AB1 2CD).
How you enter your date of birth will vary depending on which platform or device you are registering on but if you see the small calendar icon next to this field, please click on that, then click on the year at the top of the date picker that appears and select the year, then month and then day of your birth.

Activating My5 on Your TV or Streaming Device

Once you have registered, if you are trying to sign-in to My5.tv/activate on a television or streaming device attached to your TV, you just need to follow these steps:

Go to My5.tv/activate (this is a separate site to the My5 website).
Sign-in to your My5 account.
Once signed in you should see six blank boxes.
Now open the My5 app on your TV/streaming device. The six-digit activation code will appear when you are asked to sign-in.
Enter that code in the boxes on the activation website (as above) and click submit.

If you have any problems signing-in to the activation website:

Firstly, please try resetting your password via the forgot password link and then try signing in again with the new password.
If, however, you don't receive a password reset email (please be sure to check in your junk folder), please try creating a new account by clicking on the Register tab and entering the required details there.

Using a QR Code Reader

When registering for your free My5 account on TVs and other connected devices, you are given 2 options:

You can choose to visit the My5.tv/activate website on your computer or mobile device and manually enter the given code.
Or you can use a QR code reader app on your mobile device to scan the QR code - this will open the activate website and automatically fill in the necessary code for you.

Both of these methods are valid ways to register, it doesn't matter which one you choose.

How to Reset Your My5 Password

We’ve made some improvements to the My5.tv/activate website. These changes affect the way we check your sign-in status, and if you were previously signed-in to the website you will find that you have now been automatically signed-out.

You can sign-in to your account by clicking on the Sign In option along the top of the website, and you will be asked to enter your email address and password.

Click Sign In at top of website.
Click on the Forgotten password link.
Enter the email address you used to register your My5 account.
Click the Send details button - at this point a Please check your email message will appear in red text.
After a few minutes, you should receive an email from [email protected] with the subject Password reset. If you don’t receive the email please check your Junk/Spam folder.
Click on the Reset link in the email and enter a new password.

Once you’ve reset your password, you should be able to sign-in successfully using your new password.
